I did my undergraduate work at Rice University, where I majored in astrophysics. While at Rice I was a resident of Hanszen College and a violinist in the Marching Owl Band. I earned my master’s and PhD at Washington University in St. Louis (hint: not in Seattle) in Earth & Planetary Sciences. During my time at Wash U I was a member of the MER and MSL teams, using CRISM observations to study the mineralogy of sulfate-bearing areas near both rover traverses. I enjoy rock climbing, baking, and rooting for often terrible sports teams.
